the reason behind this sentence making the situation more dramatic and

|
Emotive language

The artist is consistently described
with rather emotive, thought-provoking language, so as to evoke emotions and
reactions out of the reader. For example, ‘hard as a rock ‘couldn’t make the
rent’ enables the reader to feel somewhat sympathetic towards the artist’s
feeling.
|
Hyperbole
|
This devise enables the artist to
express and emphasise his thoughts and feelings by exaggerating. For example “looking
right into my soul”. This will attract the readers and makes them more
interested when reading due to the use of the exaggeration. This is because
no one can look “into their soul” therefore this is an understatement that
will engage the readers towards the artist feelings and allow them to know
how the artist is feeling.
|
Metaphor
|
This devise will enable to make the
sentence more entertaining and more imaginative for the readers as metaphor
refers to a meaning or identity ascribed to one subject by way of another.
For example, “Love is blind” this will give the sentence a more powerful
meaning as the readers will feel the artist more and making them more engaged
to the sentence.
